As soon as I got some free time I was able to get back to work on the “Steampunk Gang” illustration. You can see my previous In-Progress post here.
In this phase, I drew both the characters in the background quite loosely. I didn’t put as much importance on the lines. My thinking is that the characters are a bit off to a distance from the main subject so I wanted less detail. This was good for me because I didn’t have much time to work with these guys.
Off it goes to the Vegas Valley Comic Book Badge Competition. I’m sure the challenge will be quite heavy as the talent pool in Vegas is pretty big. Either way, I enjoyed and learned a lot of new techniques in this process. What do you think?
