I love going to the local book and comic events where you see friendly and familiar faces. It’s a great place to look at the local talent and interact with the fans. The Las Vegas/Henderson area does not get many of these events compared to other cities, so it’s always a big deal for me when we do have them. Paseo Verde Library is one of the few libraries that is actively engaging the community with many of these events (not to mention their library just rocks!)
The next one is only a week away with the Henderson Libraries Mini Comic Convention – a free all-ages event. Take your kids, friends, parents and immerse yourselves in an all-day interactive comic-con without all the hassle and stress.
I’ll be participating with my own artist table, so stop over and say hi. I’ll have copies of my latest book THE STUMPS OF FLATTOP HILL, HURTS LIKE A MOTHER & THE TALL TALES OF TALBOT TOLUCA and MONSTROUS graphic novel & comic books.

HENDERSON LIBRARIES MINI CON:

Coming this May is the 2nd Annual Henderson Libraries Mini Con! Last year’s con was such a blast, so we’re bringing it back, but for 2016, we’re going “out of this world” (think space, aliens, flying objects, and galaxies far, far away).
This is a family-friendly event where you can meet local artists and shop for handmade art, comics, jewelry, and other cool geeky items. You can even dress up as your favorite character for a cosplay contest. We’ll also have crafts, facepainting, and a photo station. See you there!
