Fifty-three years after Edward Gorey’s delightfully subversive alphabet book “The Gashlycrumb Tinies” was published, here comes the parody. The authors, both mothers, give us 26 instances of mothering gone wrong — with perfectly executed illustrations by Ken Lamug. With the letter C, for example, we get: “Claire was iced out — her snacks weren’t organic.” For O, it’s: “Olive got carpal tunnel typing preschool applications.”
