It’s been a while since I’ve done one of these. I’ve actually been drawing a lot lately but I just never record any of them. Well, I finally got inspired to do a video for you guys and gals and I hope you enjoy it. It’s roughly 4+ hours of real-time footage played in about 15 minutes. I’ll try to get it squeezed under 10 minutes next time. You can speed through it if you want (hey, no one’s gonna stop ya!).

I drew this image on an 11×17 paper, scanned it in and digitally colored it in photoshop. I tried to capture a whimsical feel for this image. It is actually part of a larger spread on the final book. It’s a lot of trial and error until you get the look that you want. This is not the most complex digital painting out there as there are many very, extremely, insanely talented artists out there! They are truly inspiring.

The video doesn’t include some final touches (adjusting color saturation and adding some pink to the sky). You’ll see the final image below.
