Cannabis Works by Tatsuyuki Tanaka is one of those books that tend to stay with me for a while. The detailed illustration work is quite impressive. Every time I take a look at the images, I find something new that I never saw before.
Tatsuyuki’s worlds are filled with sci-fi futuristic cities. He seamlessly merges the gritty slums and industrial themes. The characters are quite memorable, each one with their own unique personalities that stays true to the tradition of manga.
The book contains a 140+ pages of sketches, full page illustrations in both bw and full color as well as a few scenes from comic strips (Japanese Language).
