“Diabolically Hysterical Fun!”
—Chris Grabenstein, #1 New York Times bestselling author of Escape from Mr. Lemoncello’s Library
Dogman meets Despicable Me in this crackling, hilarious middle grade graphic novel series from author-illustrator Ken Lamug, starring Mischief and Mayhem—a dynamic duo that falls into supervillainy after they’re kicked out of superhero camp.
Mischief and Mayhem are your respectably heinous villains. They’ll spoil new movies, steal cake from parties they weren’t invited to, and hit the good citizens where it’ll dirty them most—their toilet paper. But before Mischief and Mayhem were ever supervillains, they were just Missy and Gizmo, fresh recruits at Superhero boot camp. Except Missy lied on her hero application and has exactly zero superpowers, just her brainpower. Humiliated when caught and kicked out, she has only one fellow camp recruit who is willing to stand by her—Melvira. Unbeknownst to others, Melvira has her own villainous agenda, and it involves helping Missy cross the line into villainy as her new alter ego, Mischief. But something about Melvira doesn’t sit right with Missy, and soon she’ll be called upon to battle her former best friend. Will Missy be able to face the friend who was once her defender? Does Gizmo actually have nine lives? Will the town ever have TP again? In Ken Lamug’s deliciously hilarious graphic novel, the stakes are high and the battles epic, as the line between hero and villain gets flushed down the toilet.
About Ken Lamug
Ken Lamug is an author-illustrator who has created award-winning picture books and graphic novels. Growing up in the Philippines, Ken loved making up stories and drawing on leftover scraps of paper from photocopy machines. The grown-ups begged him to stop, but he just kept doodling anyway. He wasn’t the best artist, but that didn’t stop him from trying.
After his entire family moved to the U.S. Ken stopped making stories and had to get a real job *GASP*. He worked at a taco shop, computer tech-support company, stork lawn-sign installer and even as a paparazzi. It was about ten years ago when he re-learned how to draw so he could finally fulfill his dreams of creating stories and writing books.
Ken currently lives in Las Vegas, Nevada where he is a professional dabbler and has tried everything from beekeeping, filmmaking, 3d printing, photography, coding and race car driving.
He has won many awards for his books and his most proudest was when “Petro and the Flea King” was selected by the Nevada Humanities for the 2020 Library of Congress National Book Festival.
But he’s even more excited about Mischief and Mayhem and hopes that you too will enjoy his latest graphic novel.
When Ken is not creating in his secret lab, he’s usually cooking, walking the dogs or untangling cables.
