CHILDREN’S PICTURE BOOK STUDY

I will be breaking down picture books into their plot and story structures. This is not a critique or analysis of the book itself but an attempt to write out the content into the plot points and hopefully give us a better understanding on the books themselves and what makes them interesting. Picture books are both simple and complex, the art and the words talk to the reader in many ways, and these breakdowns are only a small part of understanding them.

I also use a modified structure from Brian McDonald’s The Invisible Ink book (I highly recommend these books to every storyteller out there).

These break-downs will contain spoilers, so beware!
